Do you have a puppy mill dog? How old was she when rescued?

Hopefully your rescues dog will live to a ripe old age and its super that you saved a dog so congrats.Let me explain about the puppy mills they breed the females every season which is twice a year and as they get older and produce less they either are put down which costs money or dumped at a shelter and this is becoming more and more a problem,All the puppy miller is interested in is the cash returns so no pups or adults are registered or have inoculation shots plus by cross breeding they inherit the worst faults you can imagine. No l have not had a puppy mill dog as am a registered breeder of 40 years and seen a lot over the years and it is about time the govt closed these places down but as it is allowed by the Dept of Agric it is gard and a lot of people incur huge vet bills and sick dogs.l am sure you have now had the rescue dog inoculated etc and you sound like your rescue dog will live in a happy home
