Literal meaning of hysterectomy?

Duh. Hysterectomy does not cause menopause, nor does it end PMS--that's not what the uterus does. You don't even know what hysterectomy is and you're trying to tell other people what it is?! Not only are you arrogant, but stupid. Removal of the uterus only stops monthly bleeding, but the hormones that control the monthly cycle and PMS are still there. It's the OVARIES that control monthly hormonal cycles. Removal of the ovaries is oophorectomy, not hysterectomy.
