Computer programs for biomedical engineering?

I'm looking at buying a Macbook Pro for college, and I'm going into biomedical engineering. I hear people talk about CAD programs that can only run on Windows. Should I buy a compatible laptop for the long run or would I be okay operating Windows with Bootcamp?
