I like him ,but ............Help?

theres this guy who sits across from me in homeroom.he's funny,not idiotic, and can have fun they same way i do.i really like him( x infinity)we always have fun together.in home room at the end of the day we (i dont konw if you waht you would call it) kick eachother under the table not hard ,but in a flurty kind of way. theres a Valentines Day dance coming up on Valentines day and i want ot go with him.and on friday our calss is going skating and they have couples skating like once and hour. and if i ask him out and he says no im afraid he would go and tell his friends and everyone would laugh at me.what should i do????????????????????????/
