How can gods morals change?
My answer, as an atheist, would be that God doesn't exist and therefore could not have changed. But rather people's perceptions and expectations of their God changed. The times changed, the moral outlook of the world changed, and the God they created (in my opinion, mind you) changed. You raise a very interesting philosophical point. Philosphically speaking within the context of religion, one would ume that a perfect God would not be able to change because that would imply he was in need of change and therefore incorrect. Although, it could also be argued that God was just saying what the people of that time needed to hear. I stand by my initial viewpoint, but I hope some of the later ones are of some use to you as well.
